About Praesidium

Praesidium Oil Co (“POC”, “Praesidium”) is a privately owned Texas limited partnership and was founded in 2018 to manage and acquire mineral interests and overriding royalties primarily focused in West Texas. Unlike other private equity backed or public traded companies, Praesidium and its affiliates have a long-term investment outlook with flexible capital, allowing us to provide maximum value to mineral and royalty owners in any given situation.

William Lasher

William Lasher is on Praesidium’s Board of Managers, serves as Chief Operating Officer and is a limited partner. He is also President of Lasher Interests, a private investment firm, and is on the board of Novus Process Systems, a New Mountain Capital portfolio company.

Previously, he was one of three members of the investment team at Sherborne Investors, a ‘turnaround’ activist fund with ~$700mm under management that invested in companies underperforming for operational rather than capital structure reasons. During his tenure, Barron’s ranked Sherborne the #1 global activist/event driven fund based on returns to partners, and it remains in the top 10.

He began his career in the global energy investment banking group at UBS, advising upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas companies on M&A and financial matters.

Mr. Lasher holds a B.B.A. and an M.P.A. in Accounting and Finance from the Red McCombs School of Business at UT Austin and is a CPA. He is the fourth generation of his family in the oil business.

Peter Currie

Peter Currie is on Praesidium’s Board of Managers and is a limited partner, with over 34 years in energy and investing. He is CEO of CenTree Ventures, LLC and Posse Resources, LLC, family owned companies with oil and gas joint venture and partnership interests in nearly 3,000 producing properties and minerals covering 300,000 acres across the U.S., and of Continental Operating Company, which operates properties in Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. He also manages over $100 million in private investment partnerships and company retirement funds.

Earlier, as Executive Vice President of Huddleston & Co., Inc., a Houston petroleum and geological engineering firm, he helped complete over $500 million in energy acquisitions, financings and public offerings. In 1996 he co-founded CIMA ENERGY, LTD., an oil and gas marketing company and multi-recognized “Aggie Top 100 Company” with annual sales now exceeding $4 billion, and became a director of Municipal Energy Resources Corporation, which supplies natural gas to U.S. municipalities through municipal bond offerings. In 2004 he was an initial investor and director of Patriot Bank, a Houston de novo bank that merged with Green Bank in 2015; he remained a Green Bank director until its January 2019 merger with Veritex Bank.

In 2009 he led a group that acquired Traditions Club and Community in Bryan/College Station, home to Texas A&M’s men’s and women’s golf teams. Over the past 10 years, Traditions and the Atlas Biomedical Corridor have tripled club membership and added over 1,000 single and multi-family residences, the Stella Hotel and Parc at Traditions Senior Living Community.

Mr. Currie holds a BBA in Management from Texas A&M University, has served on the Mays Business School Dean’s Advisory Board since 2008 and is active in numerous non-profits. (“Burk”), where he also serves on the Board of Managers and is a limited partner.
